This site sets no cookies unless you agree to analytics, and YouTube sets none unless you press play on a video. Until then, nothing is stored on your device and your browser makes no request to anyone but us. Deutsche Fassung weiter unten.
What we store on your device
| Name | Set by | Why | Kept for | Consent |
|---|---|---|---|---|
itf-consent |
Us, when you press Accept or Reject | Remembers your answer, so we do not ask on every page | 12 months, then we ask again | Not needed — strictly necessary to respect the choice you made (§ 25 Abs. 2 Nr. 2 TDDDG) |

Google Analytics — only after you accept | Recognise your browser between visits, so visits can be counted | Up to 13 months | Required, and asked for first |
|
Chosen by YouTube |
YouTube — only after you press play on a video in the video guide | YouTube's own purposes, under Google's privacy policy | Decided by YouTube | Required — pressing play is the consent, for that one video |
Nothing else. No advertising tag, no social embed, no chat widget, and no font or script from anyone else's server. If you reject analytics, or have not answered yet, and do not press play on a video, your browser makes no request to any third party while you read this — your browser's network inspector will confirm it, which is a better assurance than our saying so.
Google Analytics, if you accept
We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited, to count visits and see which pages are read and how people find us. If you accept, it records the pages you view, the site you came from, how long you stay, your browser, device type, screen size and language, and an approximate location. Google states that Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses; it uses them to derive that location and then discards them.
We set it up to collect as little as it can:
- Google signals and every advertising feature are switched off
- Analytics data is deleted after 2 months
- Its cookies expire after at most 13 months
- It never runs on the page shown after you pay, whose address carries your order reference
- We look at it only in aggregate, and never join it to a purchase
Google may process the data in the United States; Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The legal detail is in the privacy policy.
Videos, if you press play
The video guide shows each video as a still
image from this site. Nothing comes from YouTube until you press play on one; then that
video's player loads from youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube receives your IP
address and browser details, and it may store cookies or similar data on its own
domain. Videos are not part of the banner: each one asks for itself, by being pressed,
and we remember nothing about it. The legal detail is in the
privacy policy.
Your choice, and changing it
On your first visit a banner asks whether we may use analytics. It has two buttons, Accept and Reject, the same size and colour; neither is chosen for you, and nothing from Google loads until you press Accept. Analytics is the only optional category on this site, so accepting or rejecting it is the category-by-category choice. If we ever add a second category, the banner will list each one separately and ask everyone again.
You can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings, at the foot of every page. Rejecting after you have accepted stops analytics and deletes its cookies straight away. Withdrawing does not undo visits that were already counted while you had agreed.
What we promised, and how this keeps it
Until 2 October 2026 this site stored nothing at all, and this page promised that if we ever added anything non-essential, a proper consent tool would be in place before it shipped — off by default, refusing exactly as easy as accepting, and nothing loaded until you had chosen. The banner above is that tool, and it went live together with analytics, not after it.
Two things that are genuinely not us
Our host, in one narrow case
The site is served through Cloudflare. If Cloudflare's protections ever decide your connection needs a security check, it may set a strictly necessary cookie to record that your browser passed it. That is exempt from consent under § 25 Abs. 2 TDDDG because it exists solely to deliver the page you asked for. It contains no identifier we can read, we never see it, and it is not used to analyse anything. Most visitors will never encounter one.
Stripe, once you leave to pay
When you press a Buy button you are sent to Stripe's own checkout on
stripe.com. That is a different website, and from that point Stripe's own
privacy policy and cookie practices apply.
No Stripe code runs on this site, and nothing Stripe sets is set on
itfanatic.com — the checkout is a link, not an embed. We chose it that
way.
Paddle opens on one page of ours, and only when you ask. If you choose
to pay through Paddle (the PayPal option), you reach our page
/image-organizer/checkout-paypal. Nothing from Paddle is loaded there
until you press its button. Pressing it loads Paddle’s checkout from
Paddle’s servers, on that page, and from then on Paddle’s
privacy notice and cookie practices
apply: Paddle may store data in your browser for the checkout and to prevent fraud.
That is strictly necessary to provide the checkout you asked for, so it needs no
consent (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG), and it happens on no other page.
Privacy has the detail.
And the software?
PrivacyFirst Photo Organizer has no browser and makes no network requests at all — no analytics, no telemetry, no update check. The analytics on this website measures the website only; nothing from it reaches the application, and nothing from the application reaches it. See the privacy policy for the full picture of what we hold.
Cookies (deutsche Fassung)
