Refunds

If the software does not do what you hoped, email us within 30 days and we will refund you. You do not need to justify it.

Bought through an app store? This policy covers licences bought on itfanatic.com — including one you use in the Microsoft Store version of the app. A purchase made inside an app store is sold by that store, and the store handles its refund under its own policy: the Microsoft Store add-on through Microsoft, and the Mac App Store app through Apple. Your statutory rights for that purchase are exercised against the store, too. We never receive a store payment, so we cannot return one — support for your version says where to go.

How to ask

Email support@itfanatic.com from the address you bought with, or include your order reference. We will process it, and the company that took your payment — Stripe, or Paddle if you paid through Paddle’s checkout — will return the money to your original payment method, usually within five to ten working days depending on your bank.

Paid through Paddle? (Your receipt came from Paddle.) Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for that order, so you can also ask Paddle directly: look up your order at paddle.net with the email address you bought with, or reply to Paddle’s receipt. The same 30 days apply whichever way you ask.

If something is broken, telling us what went wrong is genuinely useful — but it is not a condition of the refund.

Why we can be relaxed about this

There is a free trial that runs the real application on 300 of your own photos. Almost everyone who wants to know whether this works for them can find out before paying anything, which means refunds are rare and we do not need to be difficult about them.

Your licence keeps working after a refund

We refund you and mark the order refunded, but we do not disable your licence file. It is an offline file on your own computer and we have no mechanism to reach into it — the same design that means the software works without ever contacting us also means it cannot be switched off remotely.

We are telling you this rather than hiding it. Please delete the software when you ask for a refund; we are trusting you, and that trust is what lets us keep the process simple for everyone else.

Your statutory rights

If you are a consumer in the EU or UK you have 14 days to withdraw from a distance purchase. For digital content delivered immediately, most sellers extinguish that right by asking you to waive it at checkout. We do not ask, so your 14 days run in full even though the licence file arrives within minutes. If you pay through Paddle and its checkout asks you to agree to immediate access, we do not hold you to that either. The formal notice and the model withdrawal form are on the withdrawal page (Widerrufsbelehrung).

The 30-day policy above is longer and simpler, so in practice it is the one that matters — but it sits on top of your statutory rights and takes nothing away from them, including your rights in respect of faulty software.

Chargebacks

Please email us before disputing a charge with your bank. A chargeback costs us a fee on top of the refund and takes months to resolve, and we would almost certainly have just refunded you.

Major version upgrades

Upgrade purchases follow the same policy. If you bought a licence here within 60 days before a major release, the upgrade is free and there is nothing to refund — see the product page.
